ThePrimeagen's Inbox Shows AI Tools Buying Creator Reach at Scale

Eight overnight pitches, one subject-lined "[Paid]," reopened the question of how much unlabeled promotion runs through X.
On 21 September the programmer and streamer ThePrimeagen posted a screenshot of his phone inbox, taken at 7:46 a.m. At least eight pitches from AI companies had arrived overnight, the earliest just after midnight. Three were follow-ups on threads already open.
One, from the AI ad generator Predis.ai, was subject-lined "[Paid] theprimeagen x Predis.ai." Others referenced the 3D-model tool Meshy, a YouTube integration, and a "Follow-up: Long-term paid coll..." Several opened by calling him "Prime." A sender listed as "zitong dong" signed the message "Roco."
"If you think X is not full of tweets that are not marked sponsored but are sponsored you're crazy," he wrote.
The post drew more than 100 replies. Chris Titus Tech said his inbox matched. Smaller creators reported the same volume. The most specific claim came from developer @stephenlearns, who tied it to a launch: after OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra shipped on 3 September, he had "a hard time believing all the folks that had 'early access' weren't sponsored for those posts."
Meshy publishes three creator payout tracks on its own site: an Earn program, an affiliates program, and a contributor program.
Analysis
An inbox proves intent and budget, not any particular undisclosed post. The harder case is early access, where the consideration is the privilege itself rather than a fee. Disclosure rules are written around money, and an embargo slot does not feel like payment to the person accepting it. That is why the pitch marked "[Paid]" is the least interesting thing in the screenshot. The ones that never need the tag are the ones already working.
