French Startup Dragon LLM Builds Europe's First Native AI Architecture
Dragon LLM, a French startup, has built what DirectIndustry e-Magazine calls Europe's first homegrown generative AI architecture. The design is transformer-based and built around frugal compute principles, meaning lower inference costs relative to comparable models. The claim matters because European AI to date has largely run on architectures exported from US labs, chiefly OpenAI and Meta.
